This comprehensive course meets twice a week, with each 90-minute session meticulously crafted to unravel the complexities of delivering exceptional care in the United States. From understanding nuanced etiquette and diverse cultural dynamics to navigating insurance landscapes and cutting-edge technology, this program is your essential primer to thrive in American healthcare settings.​

  • Demystify the U.S. Healthcare Landscape: Gain a robust understanding of the organizational structures, policies, and unique characteristics that define American healthcare.​

  • Cultural Competence: Develop the skills to effectively interact with patients and professionals from diverse backgrounds, ensuring respectful and personalized care.​

  • Insurance & Reimbursement Mastery: Navigate the complexities of U.S. insurance systems, including private insurers, Medicare, and Medicaid, to optimize patient support and institutional compliance.​

  • Technological Proficiency: Become adept at utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other technological tools integral to modern U.S. medical practice.​

  5. Healthcare Delivery and Quality: Analyze the organization of healthcare services, the continuum of care, and strategies for quality improvement. 

  6. Health Information Technology: Gain insights into the adoption and impact of health information technologies, including electronic health records and telemedicine. ​

Getting Started

1. Complete the Medical Student Profile 

A comprehensive form that will allow you to share more about yourself, your interest in medicine, and the experience you are seeking. You will be able to select the learning programs you plan to register for. 

2. Register and Complete the Introduction to the US Healthcare System Course

This comprehensive training will meet twice a week for 1 month. Each session will last 90 minutes and will introduce the critical elements of delivering care in the USA; including etiquette, culture, insurance, and technology. This course must be successfully completed to participate in any of our learning programs.
